After some intense running on the treadmill and way too
many tuna salads for our stomachs to handle, it's time
to show it all off. Summer is finally here, and it looks
like it will be a peaceful one! Here we go…But wait a
minute, which beach are we going to? Sure enough,
Lebanon’s beaches are just as divided as the country
itself, each attracting a specific crowd, so Dia Diwan
did the background work and gives it to you: a guide to
Lebanon’s best beaches classified by the various groups
that populate them…
Lazy B:
Who: The Gemmayzeh crowd. Photographers,
designers and writers who haven’t quite made it yet
Dress code: Bobo Chic: floral tunics and
gladiator sandals for her and beige linen pants with a
beaded necklace for him
Activities: Reading French magazines, discussing
how everyone else in Beirut is an idiot and occasionally
smooching
Favorite quote: “Did you like so and so’s
exhibition?”
